In today’s fast paced, technology orientated and global society, we are constantly facing health challenges never dreamed of by our ancestors. Sitting in enclosed office spaces, automobiles and planes for hours; grabbing quick bites to eat as we run from one appointment to another; juggling the demands of work and family life, all put different stresses upon our bodies. And, while there are a variety of exercises that can aid in relieving such stresses, hour for hour, tai chi is probably the most effective exercise adults can do to improve overall health and wellness and prevent falls.
We're here to help you begin learning and continue to progress to a higher level no matter what your age or physical condition.
All instructors are certified in Dr. Lam's Tai Chi for Arthritis program. Research has shown this program to be effective for not only mitigating the aches and pains of arthritis, but also teaches principles that should be used in everyday life to prevent falls. Tai Chi in the Park - 10am the last Saturday of every month
We meet at the big pavilion in the St. Marys waterfront park on the last Saturday of every month. Join us to play, practice, teach, learn, observe the ancient arts of Tai Chi and Qigong. Look for the Tai Chi flag. Wear comfortable clothing and flat soled shoes. Bring water, sunblock, bug spray, and get ready for a fun way to exercise!
